The scheme is Kent’s very first Community Land Trust (CLT), involving Shepherdswell and Coldred CLT working in partnership with English Rural Heritage Association.
The development will fulfil a housing need for local residents, providing 10 affordable homes to be managed by English Rural, and 3 homes offered for open market sale by WW Martin. The affordable element comprises a mix of apartments and 2 and 3-bedroom houses, while the open market sale element includes 2 detached single-storey bungalows and a further detached chalet bungalow.
Designed by OSG Architecture, the development sits on a sloping site in a rural village location, sensitively designed and landscaped to blend within the surrounding area.
Working with WW Martin, Weald delivered the full carpentry package for all 13 new build homes;
